Some businesses in Maui are already opening up after closing their doors due to the ensuing lockdown as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Maui is fast becoming known for its amazing food truck scene. So if you are coming here for a holiday, you definitely should check out the Aloha Braised LLC, an awesome food truck that offers free delivery within Lahaina and not far from our Alexandra’s Front Street vacation rental. If you’re a fan of Fleetwood Mac, then you might find it interesting to order from Fleetwood’s on Front St. Owned by the famous rock and roll icon Mick Fleetwood, this restaurant is popular in Maui. It is recognized for its award-winning menus and an extensive offering of exquisite wines. Most customers would come here for their casual atmosphere with the breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and West Maui Mountains in the background. However, they currently do not accept dine-in, but you can order for take-out. You can also call in advance since they offer curbside pickup.
If you are staying in one of the properties at Napili, check out Joey’s Kitchen in Napili Plaza. Serving Hawaiian-inspired Filipino Asian cuisines, Joey’s Kitchen is known for serving affordable gourmet foods. The menu features an interesting combination of Japanese, Filipino, Portuguese, and Chinese delicacies. Currently, they are open for take-out and accept orders for dinner and lunch. During the weekends, Joey’s Kitchen serves breakfast from 9 AM to 11 AM.
Home of the famous Hula Pie, Kimo's Maui is the go-to restaurant for those who want to savor traditional Lahaina cuisines. Aside from their famous pie, the restaurant is also known for its signature prime rib and the classic Kimo’s style fresh fish. Open from 12 to 9 PM daily, Kimo’s Maui is now allowing dine-in at their patio. But if you prefer to order takeout, you can do it directly from their website. Make sure to order their mouthwatering Hula Pie for dessert, a scrumptious pie made with macadamia nut ice cream assembled on top of a chocolate cookie crust!
Māla Ocean Tavern is an oceanfront restaurant located right next to the Hawaiian sea in Lahaina. Awarded the Best Oceanfront Dining on the Island of Maui by Maui No Ka Oi Magazine in 2019, Māla Ocean Tavern is a perfect spot to enjoy fresh fish and other Mediterranean dishes while watching the beach sunset. For guests staying at Kaanapali Royal or in other properties within the Kaanapali Resort area, Roy’s Ka’anapali is just a few minutes away. This restaurant sits inside a golf-course clubhouse at the Kaʻanapali Resort and overlooks the picturesque green landscapes. Serving exquisitely prepared traditional fare, some of the most popular dishes on its menu include their signature Roy’s meatloaf with Maui cattle beef, blackened ahi with Chinese mustard, mushroom gravy, and onion rings. They are known for their brightly colored interiors, but what makes them popular are their juicy patties that are made from high-quality meat. Served on freshly toasted buns, you can choose from three different sizes, from a third of a pound to a pound. Their hand-cut fries and crispy chicken sandwiches are also hard to resist.
